Macken Companies, the South Florida-based development firm launching Palmetto Gardens Plaza in Miami Gardens, has named Katz & Associates exclusive retail leasing agent for the 63,000 square foot shopping center located at 3799 NW 167th St. Leasing is being handled from the Katz & Associates Boca Raton office at 2300 Glades Rd. Approximately 5,500 SF of inline space is available for lease as well as approximately 9,000 SF available as an out-parcel. Retail spaces range from 1,300-9,000 SF and are priced from $27/SF.

“Being strategically positioned within the dense Miami Gardens market, we are excited for the opportunity to lease and bring exposure to this center not only from the local, but regional and national levels as well,” stated David Eggnatz of Katz & Associates.

Construction of the in-line retail portion of Palmetto Gardens Plaza is complete. VCM Builders, an affiliate of Macken Companies whose principals co-own the site, is now working on the tenant interiors with plans to finish in May 2016. A Wal-Mart Neighborhood Store serves as the center’s anchor tenant and is now open. T-Mobile, Cell Phone Repair, Lee Nails and Edible Arrangements have also been confirmed as new tenants.

“We plan to break ground on the out-parcel next, and that space will have drive-through potential,” stated Alan Macken, principal, Macken Companies.

Palmetto Gardens Plaza fronts the Palmetto Expressway at Douglas Road in Miami Gardens, offering tenants high visibility from the 170,000 vehicles that drive by each day.

To develop the plaza, Alan S. Macken and Andrew K. Verzura of VCM Builders established Palmetto Park in a joint venture with DZD Palmetto, owned by Zvi and Daniel Shiff of DZD Holdings.
