Palmetto Design Center in Miami Gardens Celebrates Grand Opening With Community Fun Day for All Ages
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 25, 2017)–On Saturday, Oct. 22nd, Palmetto Design Center, a new shopping center anchored by Walmart Neighborhood Market at 3791 NW 167th St. in Miami Gardens, hosted Community Fun Day to celebrate the grand opening of several new tenants including OPI Nails, Edible Arrangements and T-Mobile. The event provided the developers, Macken Companies and DZD Holdings, an opportunity to thank the City of Miami Gardens and local community for their support. A children’s DJ, stilt walker, unicyclist and juggler entertained the crowd while face painting and fire truck tours added to the fun.
Mayor Oliver Gilbert and Vice-Mayor Erhabor Ighodaro from the City of Miami Gardens participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and the development team presented a check to Excelsior Charter Academy in the amount of $1,000. Dean of Students Anthony Harris accepted the check on behalf of the school. The new retailers, along with anchor tenant Walmart Neighborhood Market, showcased several outdoor displays and offered special promotions and free samples all morning.

Palmetto Design Center is a 63,000 square-foot shopping center located at 3791 NW 167th St. in Miami Gardens. The center’s developers, Macken Companies and DZD Holdings, recently completed the construction of the inline space, heralding the final completion of the shopping plaza. The inline space totals in excess of 11,500 square feet and is currently over 75% leased with Laundromart also coming soon. The outparcel will contain a full-service Spin Carwash.
Palmetto Design Center fronts the Palmetto Expressway at Douglas Road, offering tenants high visibility from the 180,000 vehicles that drive by each day.
